This is a quiet, soothing gem from Jessica. Not sure what she plans to do with it. But I certainly like to add it to my track listing from time to time. Spread the word, if you will.

Citizen Cope. ‘Lifeline’. I discovered him recently. Intriguing performer. Very powerful lyrics. Something about his sound that’s catchy to me. I chose to bring it up a little higher to match my octave. Like this message quite a bit.

I tend not to be satisfied with just sitting in front of the MBook and playing, recording, submitting. Performing is art. I figure I may as well use the iMovie features and play around a bit, try to add some ambience to the track. The ‘late-night’ thing, the video tinkering, I think it added to the Springsteen classic.

Hiatt’s original IS the original. I’m not as taken with his as I am with the ‘Jennys. Some of the greatest poets can’t sing their way out of washing dishes. I give him his due for songwriting, surely. Not so much about the performing side of things.

An original from many moons ago. Before the moon was discovered. Well, that’s an exaggeration. But still … I had dreams, too. My daughter’s dreams are much bigger than mine, hopefully. AND her following of such dreams.
